The Bradfield Installation

Parquet Flooring Installation in Sheffield

At NSB Flooring, we recently had the pleasure of installing a stunning tumbler block oak parquet floor in a herringbone pattern with a walnut insert between a two-block border for a customer in Bradfield, Sheffield.

The installation process took place over the course of six weeks and involved first laying the parquet blocks in the herringbone pattern and then carefully inserting the walnut inlays between the two-block border.

Once the flooring was installed, we lightly sanded it to a 100-grit finish to ensure a smooth and even surface. This also helped to remove any imperfections and give the flooring a more polished look.

Finally, we applied a Berger-Siedle white lacquer to the flooring, which kept the natural colour of the oak and walnut while also providing a protective coating. The result was a beautiful and durable floor that will last for many years to come.

Overall, we were very pleased with the outcome of this project and our customer was thrilled with their new floor. If you’re in the Sheffield area and are in need of high-quality flooring installation, be sure to contact NSB Flooring for all of your flooring needs.

Benefits of Parquet Flooring

Natural wood flooring, particularly parquet wood flooring, offers several benefits for the home. One of the primary benefits of natural wood flooring is its aesthetic appeal. Natural wood has warmth and beauty that can enhance the look of any room. Additionally, because wood is a natural material, no two wood floors are exactly alike, so each floor has its own unique character and charm.

Another benefit of natural wood flooring is its durability. When properly maintained, natural wood flooring can last for many years, making it a long-lasting and cost-effective option for homeowners. Natural wood is also relatively easy to repair if it becomes damaged, so it can be a good choice for families with children or pets.

Parquet wood flooring, in particular, has the added benefit of being easy to clean and maintain. Unlike other types of wood flooring, parquet wood is made up of small, individual pieces of wood that are arranged in geometric patterns. This means that dirt and debris are less likely to become trapped in the grooves of the floor, making it easier to keep clean.

Additionally, parquet wood flooring is available in a wide range of styles, colours, and patterns, so it can be customized to fit the unique design of any home. This makes it a versatile and flexible flooring option that can be used in a variety of settings.

Overall, natural wood flooring, especially parquet wood flooring, is a great choice for homeowners who want to add warmth, beauty, and durability to their homes.
